Crusader Comments – October 10-15

Hello fellow Crusaders!

Thank you to everyone who supported ECS through purchasing/selling items for our Fall Fundraiser. We hope to have a final total next week. Remember…. profit from the sale will be put in a fund set aside for the elementary playground. At ECS we partner with you the parent/guardian in “Teaching the Mind and Training the Heart” of each child, each and every day.

* A special thank you to all who supported our ECS JV & V Volleyball teams Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Friday, October 7
* PSAT testing for students in grades 9-11 will be on Wednesday, October 12. Parents please move any appointments on this day, so each student can be present to take the test.
* SAT testing for students in grade 12 will be on Wednesday, October 12.
* The end of the 1st quarter is Thursday, October 13. The quarter grade does affect eligibility for sports.  Athletes must have no F’s and at least a 70 overall average to continue to participate.

Have a great weekend, and make sure you are plugged into a local church body (Hebrews 10:24-25). If you do not have a local church that you currently attend, we invite you to visit us at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 9:15 for Sunday School and at 10:30 for worship.

ECS PURPOSE (p. 6 in the handbook) – The purpose of Christian education is to instill biblical values and prepare students to fulfill God’s purpose for their life both vocationally and personally. ECS strives to educate our students with the soft skills necessary for business success and the daily skills for life; including the arts of communicating, living, solving, investigating, developing talents, and using leisure time in accordance with Biblical principles. At ECS, we follow the motto of “Teaching the Mind, Training the Heart.”
