Crusader Comments – October 24-29

Hello fellow Crusaders!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, to everyone who supported ECS through purchasing/selling items for our Fall Fundraiser. You helped us raise $12,948.20. Remember…. These funds will be set aside for the elementary playground. Remember at ECS we partner with you the parent/guardian in “Teaching the Mind and Training the Heart” of each child, each and every day.

* United Way is holding its 9th annual Coats, Hoodies, Hats and Gloves for Kids drive. A collection box is located next to the school office and will be available until November 18. Please donate new or gently used items. This is a great opportunity to give back to our local community by helping others in need.
* Congratulations to our Volleyball team for making it to the SCACS state tournament on October 28 & 29. We will know about our boys’ Soccer team after the playoff game on Thursday, October 20.
* Support a senior as they raise money for their Senior Class Missions Trip to Costa Rica in May of 2023. Our seniors are selling Butter Braids. Go to the end of this document and click on the QR code to order pastries and support our senior class. The last day to order is November 1. Once you click on the QR code, then click on the seniors name you want to support. Once you click on the seniors name it will direct to the Butter Braid order website. Choose your items, pay for your items and the senior you selected will deliver your items to you on November 16.

Go Crusaders.

Have a great weekend, and make sure you are plugged into a local church body (Hebrews 10:24-25). If you do not have a local church that you currently attend, we invite you to visit us at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 9:15 for Sunday School and at 10:30 for worship.

ECS PURPOSE (p. 6 in the handbook) – The purpose of Christian education is to instill biblical values and prepare students to fulfill God’s purpose for their life both vocationally and personally. ECS strives to educate our students with the soft skills necessary for business success and the daily skills for life; including the arts of communicating, living, solving, investigating, developing talents, and using leisure time in accordance with Biblical principles. At ECS, we follow the motto of “Teaching the Mind, Training the Heart.”

Crusader Comments are delivered electronically through email usually on Thursday afternoons and deal with important information and upcoming events for the next week of school. You will receive a text to remind you to review it as you are making your plans for the upcoming week.
