Crusader Comments – Sept. 8, 2020

Hello fellow Crusaders!

We are thankful for what God is doing and going to do for each child and each family through our amazing ECS faculty and staff.  I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Highlights:
*Yearbooks are currently on sale for $45 each, until September 8.  Starting Wednesday, Sept. 9 the price goes up to $55.

*Accelerated Reader is now up and running.  Students can begin taking tests here at school on books they have already read.  This program is available to students in grades 1st-6th.

*We currently have over 305 enrolled for this school year.  Praise the Lord.  We still have room in some grades for more students.  Please encourage your friends and family to apply if they are looking for a great school.

*Parent/Teacher Conferences will be either virtual or by phone.  All lower school families (grades K2-6) should have been contacted by your teacher to discuss your child’s progress up to this point in the school year.  All upper school families (grades 7-12) will have been contacted by the end of September.

*COVID-19 Update – There are currently no positive cases that we are aware of in grades K2-6th.  Our upper school teacher and the previous 3 Covid positive students should all be back in school after Labor Day.  They are all doing much better and cleared to return to school.  We went 5 days without a Covid positive case, but now have one 9th grade student that has tested positive and is therefore quarantined at home.

*YMCA Flag Football – Emmanuel Baptist Church will not be offering flag football this year, but the YMCA will be offering it –  go to www.ymcaupd.org for more information.

GO Crusaders.

Have a great weekend and make sure you are plugged into a local church body (Hebrews 10:24-25).  If you don’t have a local church that you currently attend, we invite you to visit us at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 10:30 for Worship.

ECS Mission Statement – Our mission is to serve in partnership with parents and local churches to provide students with an excellent education taught with Biblical truths. Our desire is that students completing their training at Emmanuel Christian School will be authentic and mature disciples of Jesus Christ, possessing a wide range of knowledge, experiences, and skills that will enrich their lives and provide a good foundation upon which to develop a life of maximum service toward God and man.

Crusader Comments are sent out electronically through email on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning and deal with important information and upcoming events for the next week of school.  You will receive a Remind text to remind you to review it as you are making your plans for the upcoming week.
