Crusader Comments – December 6-12

Hello fellow Crusaders!  

Here are a couple of special events coming up that you will not want to miss. Grades1-6 will perform their Christmas program on Friday, December 10 at 7 pm. Mistletoe Market will be open for sales on the 8th from 2-4, the 9th from 2-4, and on the 10th from 2-4, 6-7, and 8-9 pm.

Highlights:

* Monday, December 6 is a Senior Pizza Lunch. Students should have already turned in their order form to be able to eat this lunch at school.
* Mistletoe Market is currently accepting donated items. It will be open Wednesday from 2-4, Thursday from 2-4, and Friday from 2-4, 6-7, and 8-9. All proceeds go to provide extra items that teachers need in their classrooms
* Grades 1-6 Christmas Program at 7 pm on Friday, December 10. Students should arrive no earlier than 6:30 pm and no later than 6:45 pm in their classrooms. They should wear Christmas colors. The sanctuary will be open at 6:30 pm for parents to be seated.
* Hartville Christmas Parade. ECS will have a float, and we invite grades K5-6th students with a parent and grades 7-12 students to walk along or ride on the float. Those participating will line up in the #19 spot in the Butler Academy parking lot. You need to be there by 2:45 pm. Please call the school office if you plan to participate with ECS.
* Grades 7-12 exams are December 14, 15, 16 & 17. Please ensure that students do not have any doctors’ appointments scheduled during any of these days. All grade 7-12 students take these exams.
* FYI – Early Dismissal Days–December 15, 16, and 17 are early dismissal days. Lower School at 11:40 am and Upper School at 11:55 am. After School Care is available each day until 5:30 pm.
* The last day for the 2nd quarter/1st Semester is Friday, December 17.
* Christmas Break is from Dec. 22-January 2. School resumes on Monday, January 3.
* COVID-19 Update – There are currently 0 positive student cases that we are aware of in grades K2-6th. There are currently 0 positive student cases that we are aware of in grades 7th-12th. If it would make you more comfortable for your child to wear a mask during the school day, feel free to send one with them and we will be happy to support you, your child, and your family.

* THE VERSE OF THE WEEK COMES FROM: Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you….”
* EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE FOR THE WEEK: Evangelism–(Matthew 28:19-20) To teach that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and through belief in Jesus’ death and resurrection, forgiveness of sins and new life through faith is found in Him.
* CHARACTER TRAIT FOR THE WEEK: Humility(Mark 9:33-35)

Tuesday 7th
Away boys’ basketball at Marlboro Academy. JV Boys at 5:30and V Boys at 6:30. Dismissal after school

Wednesday 8th
Mistletoe Market is open from 2-4 pm in the administration building.

Thursday 9th
Mistletoe Market is open from 2-4 pm in the administration building.
Home Basketball vs Governors School, V girls at 6 and V boys at 7:30

Friday 10th
Mistletoe Market is open from 2-4 pm, 6-7 pm, and 8-9 pm in the administration building.
Grades 1-6 Christmas Program at 7 pm. Sanctuary opens at 6:30 pm.

Saturday 11th
Hartsville Christmas Parade at 3 pm
EBC drive-through Nativity 6-8 pm

Sunday 12th
EBC drive-through Nativity 6-8 pm

Have a great weekend, and make sure you are plugged into a local church body (Hebrews 10:24-25). If you do not have a local church that you currently attend, we invite you to visit us at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 9:15 for Sunday School and at 10:30 for worship

Crusader Comments are delivered electronically through email usually on Thursday afternoons and deal with important information and upcoming events for the next week of school. You will receive a “Remind text” to remind you to review it as you are making your plans for the upcoming week.
